The best reason for not writing in a journal is that one is too busy living. That's why I seem to have fallen off the internet for three weeks. I spent two weeks on an key set of essays. The process of writing them was the smoothest I've experiences as far as essays go, but the editing and correcting of them consumed the writing portion of my brain. The effort was worthwhile; I received full points for the essays. After that I spent a weekend with my grandparents. The older I get, the more I realize how I don't know how much time I'll have to spend with my grandparents. It make the time we get to spend together seem more valuable. Last week was spent repainting the main living area of the house in preparation for the holiday season and my brother's family's visit. I love the name of the new wall color: toasted cashew. It sure beats the white the walls were before. My brother, his wife, and son arrived Tuesday morning at around midnight. It's great to see my nephew in person for the first time. They'll be around for two weeks, so we'll get to spend some good time together. My life appears to have shifted back down to normal for the near future. I'll enjoy the slower pace. I'm glad to be writing entries again. Tags: positive thoughts Current Mood: content
